.smv - size problem

Hello all

I just bought Phillips mp3 player which includes video as well. However you can only watch videos in .smv format. So when I converted one of the movie (700 MB .avi format) to .smv, it took 8 + GB....HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? Do they expect us to get the player to watch 2 minutes videos? So yeah, I don't know how to shrink the size of the .smv! If you know anything about this, your help would be great

The .SMV file should not be extremely big for just a few minutes of video.

Ok it works now
I was so stupid, I changed .avi into .wmv (in property) insted of converting by using a program. It works now and size problem is fine! Thank you for you reply!!

Well now I have another problem....grrrrrrr
Before I had llike 150 songs and shuffling mode was working fine!
Now m y shuffling mode doesn't work well. Currently I have 210 songs!
When I go on shuffle..This is how it goes
2,3, 102,5,6,7,8,9,10,4,12,13,14,15,16,17,11
Numbers goes like these when I press next ( > ) (most of the time within 10 seconds of music)..means I haven't listen to whole song!
Now when I listen to whole song it goes from 11 to 159 to 160 to 161, 154 etc..just like last time (even if I listen to whole song!)
When I start shuffling again it always starts from 2, not same pattern but similar patter and it always goes to 112 after few songs and comes back within 10-20 range...
Btw I am using Phillips SA3125

EDIT: I have 30 songs in my playlist and my shuffling mode works perfect....grrr
EDIT: Now I reduced 210 songs to 195 songs and it works now...lol does that mean that 200 is a limit or something (for shuffling mode)?

Yes, seems like the player may have some limitation of some kind. Probably the maximum number of songs that the player can shuffle.
