Here are six easy steps to load music onto your mp4 player.

1. Create a directory of all the music you would like to load onto your MP4/MP3 player;

2. Turn your MP4 player into the "off" position;

3. Connect your MP4 player to your computer and turn the player on;

4. Click on "Start/My Computer";

5. In the "My Computer Folder" you should see a "Removable Drive" or "USB Removable Drive". Double-click on this drive. You should now see a folder containing the files that are currently on your machine.

6. Select any files or folders you want to see on your player and drag them to the "Removable Drive Folder" or whatever it is called. Within minutes your files will be copied to your MP4 player.

Now if you want to store music by album, create folders within the folder provided for .mp3s. You can create up to 90 folders within the folder set aside for MP3s. To play from a specific folder you will need to:

1. Start your MP4 Player.

2. Click on the FORWARD key until you reach MUSIC.

3. Click on the MENU key to view the "Music" Player.

4. Before you start playing press on the MENU key again.

5. The first item in this meny is LOCAL FOLDER. Click forward or backward to select the LOCAL FOLDER option and then click on MENU.

6. You will then see a list of Folders. Click on FORWARD or BACKWARD key to arrive at the Folder you wish to play. Click on the MENU key again and you will have selected that album to play.

7. Click on MENU key and you will arrive back at the "Music" Player to start playing songs from the chosen album.

Please note: if you want video format files to be used by your multimedia player, you then need to convert the files from whatever they are into an .AMV format or some other format that your mp4 player accepts. Obtain information from the user manual provided when you purchased your MP4 player.

"Now if you want to store music by album, create folders within the folder provided for .mp3s. You can create up to 90 folders within the folder set aside for MP3s."

The above is from your instructions. Where is this folder called .mp3s?
Do I create it or is already on the ChiPod?
I have put 5 different CD's in mp3 format on the MP4 player. However, when scrolling all I see is the playlist for the first CD.
Help! Question

Canam,
There should already be a video folder. If not, you can easily create one.

Some chipods come with sample videos. You can check the folder that your sample video is in, when you view the directory/folders on your chipod.

Paul,
Thanks for your reply. However, I'm trying to create music files. Where and how do I create the files for each album?
