Hi everyone Smile

I need help with my "1.25in Color LCD MP4 Watch (Black 1GB with FM)"

It won't "boot" any more Sad When I turn it on, I get to see the "welcome" animation, then the screen turns off, for a SPLIT of second the screen flickers and then the screen goes off again Sad

When I hook it up my my PC, the USB connection is working JUST FINE, I can access the watch and the screen also stays on!!!!

I was thinking that MAYBE flashing the watch with a firmware MIGHT fix the problem??? I don't know, I don't have the slightest idea which firmware I am supposed to download or what kind of software I need to do the job???

I took the watch apart so search for some white writing on the green board, all I can find is a "MP4 Watch V1.2 2007-09-20" ?!? Not very helpful, I guess??

One large Chip reads " Sigmatel STMP3506 L100-TA5 T00002 0540" does that help???

Anyway any help is very much appreciated, I really would love to get some life into that thing again Wink

Sounds like the battery on your watch may be the problem. It may not be holding it's charge, but when you connect the mp4 watch to the PC, the mp4 watch gets it's power from the usb connection. Power is immediately lost again, once you disconnect the usb cable from the mp4 watch.
