Connect An MP4 Player To Your Car

Items needed:

1. MP4 player
2. Car adapter

Below are the steps to hook up an MP4 player to the car:

A. Look for the correct adapter that fits your car and MP4 player. Note that there are three (3) different types of adapters:
1. First type plugs into the car's cigarette lighter or power plug.
2. Another is a battery powered FM/RF transmitter adapter.
3. Third type is one that attaches to your cassette player.

B. If you have the cassette player adapter, plug it into the MP4 player, and the cassette adapter into your car's tape player. You should be able to play your MP4 player's MP3 music through your car stereo.

On some newer cars, to play music directly through your car stereo, you have two options:

If you are using the cigarette lighter/power port, plug one end into your MP4 player. Tune your car stereo to an empty station and program that station into your adapter.

If you have the battery power FM/RF transmitter adapter, plug it into your MP4 player. Tune your car stereo to an empty station and program that station into your adapter.

@jingwen, you are right. Nowadays the car multimedia entertainment systems have built in MP4 capabilities.
